As a community service, and as availability allows, the Illinois Township Attorneys Association has its Directors attend meetings and educational programs, to make presentations on general and specific topics, and to serve as resources.  Opinions offered are those of the respective Director, and are not those of the Association or any other Director. The Board of Directors of the Illinois Township Attorneys will meet at the Chicago Office of Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C. at 33 North Dearborn Street, 7th floor, for the Board’s Winter Quarterly Meeting. Members of the Association are welcome to attend, but are encouraged to contact President John Nelson at (815) 964-8800 to reserve a seat. The Association will hold its Annual Township Attorney Seminar at the Conference Center Annex of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bloomington (Illinois). Please watch this webpage and your snail mail for further information and registration for said Conference.



Longtime Association Member and Director and Monticello attorney John Foltz is retiring from the legal profession, but don’t expect him to be idle as he steps away after 44 years as an attorney. Long-time Director Dale Stockley was recently injured in a serious automobile accident in Albuquerque, New Mexico that also resulted in his wife Margaret’s death. The Association send its deepest sympathies and condolences to Dale, and wishes him a speedy recovery.The prayers and good wishes of the members of this Association are with him during this sad time.

Director John Redlingshafer (of the Chicago Office of the Heyl, Royster Voelker & Allen, P. C. law firm) has announced that he is withdrawing from the practice of law in order to follow more “pastoral” pursuits (i.e., John is becoming a full-time farmer). The Association wishes John well in his future endeavors and thanks him for his years of hard work for the benefit of the Members of this Association.
